Next vocab.

1) Pummel- V. Striked Repeatedly
Mike Tyson pummeled his opponent into a K.O. within the first 30 seconds.
2) Cajole- V. Pursuade someone to do something with sustained coaxing/ flattering.
The old man cajoled the little boy to come onto his porch.
3) Irate- Adj. Feeling or characterized by great anger.
The man had a very irate look upon his face when he realized that there was no ketchup left.
4) Insolence- Adj. showing a rude and arrogant lack of respect.
The slave was insolent to his master and was punished with the cat-of-nine-tails.
5) Maliciously-Adv. intending/intended to harm
The old man maliciously attacked the dog that repeatedly entered his yard.
6)Quell-vb. Put an end to rebellion, typically by force.
The old man intended to quell the dog by using his hose.
7) Perspicacity- N. Having a ready insight into and understanding of things.
The little boys perspicacity could not compare to the old man's knowledge.
8) Dastardly- adj. wicked and cruel
The young child was shocked by the old man's dastardly jokes.

The young boy continued to annul his sister even after the argument

The old man was causing a large amount of chagrin while a holding a gun in the dollar store.
13) Anecdote-N. A short and amusing or interesting story about a real incident or person
The old man loved to tell anecdotes to the small children while on his front porch.
14) Efficacy-N. The ability to produce a desired or intended result
