If I was Barton and I was in control of the E.D.S. I would have taken another look at the situation. Instead of taking a whole freaking 2 hours to sit there and mope about forcing to lose one life, I would use this time to teach the girl how to land the E.D.S. and I would jettison myself instead of wasting a young innocent life since in this story I'm like 30 years old.
